If you have a deck or patio that gets harsh light from the sun, we can convert your deck or patio to a covered porch by adding a roof over the structure. This provides added protection from the outdoors when the sun is most intense, or when it is raining but you still want to sit outdoors. You will have overhead protection, but otherwise open air since there are no walls.
A roof over your patio or deck protects your outside furniture, which will show wear over time from the elements if there is no covering. It also has the advantage of allowing you to install ceiling fans, televisions, and other outdoor items to make the space more enjoyable and comfortable.

Before converting your deck to a covered porch, we’ll need to examine your deck to determine the following:
- Is your existing deck built to code? If your deck is not built to code according to the Georgia deck building code requirements, we will make the repairs necessary to bring it up to code before we convert your deck to a covered porch.
- Can your existing deck handle the weight of a roof? The conversion requires adding a roof which is a lot of additional weight. We need to determine if your deck can handle the load of the roof. If not, we will need to rebuild it to ensure the deck can handle the additional weight.
